Assignment # 5

In assignment # 5 we are learning about the Canadian Settlers and why they stayed here even in the COLD, COLD winters!

Obviously they managed to find food and and a good sturdy shelter to keep them going through the extremely cold winters in Canada. There food may not have been the best and the shelter may not have been the warmest thing, but they obviously liked it enough here to make them stay! The only way to keep them warm was to create fires.

When they first arrived they had to cut down trees with axes, to clear the land for there homes and barns for animals. ( witch took lots of work ) The Canadian Settlers had animals to provid them with food and liquid such as milk. They had barn animals like cows - for milk, sheep - for wool, chickens - for eggs, pigs for - for meat, horses - to pull and plow the sleighs.
